About
I’m Graham Moomaw, a budding journalist and recent graduate from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park.
I set up this site as a portfolio of sorts for writing samples, web design work, photography and video projects.
During fall 2009, I interned at The Washington Independent, a political blog/news site in Washington, D.C. While there, I was responsible for implementing social media buttons in the site’s content and I oversaw the creation of a daily email feature from start to finish.
In the spring of 2010, I covered the politics beat from the Washington bureau of Capital News Service, the college’s student-staffed wire service that provides content to client papers throughout Maryland. I mostly covered the Maryland congressional delegation, but I was fortunate enough to be able to cover some big national events like President Obama’s first State of the Union address and a landmark gun control case heard before the Supreme Court.
I’m open to any and all employment opportunities, so please don’t hesitate to download my resume and get in touch.
